Hi, I’m Rick Priddis, President and founder of Priddis Music.  In this blog, I’ll be talking about the karaoke industry, music licensing issues, some history about the changes that have taken place in our company and product line over the years, and various other facts and information about the karaoke business. 

 In reality, I never have liked the word “karaoke” to describe my business.  I prefer Performance Music for Singers.  Karaoke brings to mind bars and people who have had too much to drink and can’t carry a tune.  We have always catered to customers who are a little more serious about their singing.  Picture American Idol.  That’s the sort of “karaoke” singer we’re after.
